Have you ever called around to get a price quote for your iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac computer repair? If you have you already know how difficult it is to decipher what you are paying for. Everyone claims their parts are "original apple" or "oem screens" they assure you that the only difference is what they make on the repair. They make you feel like they take a smaller profit or have better sources for parts so that you can benefit from a lower price. The truth is, you are getting exactly what you are paying for; inferior iPhone replacement screens. Right now you can have the cracked screen replaced on your iPhone for less than 100 dollars in most cases but how do you know what you are paying for? I will outline for you the two main qualities of iPhone replacement screens I have seen over the years, OEM and A/A- iPhone screens, and how this can result in a 20 to 40 dollar difference in your iPhone repair.
The main purpose of this blog is to educate the consumer. The repair industry is oversaturated and riddled with misinformation. At Service Nerd we want to be as transparent about the repair process as possible. From the quality of our parts, to pricing and what you are paying for. When I founded this company in 2013 I was tired of a system where people would be taken advantage of because they did not know as much as the person behind the counter or having a clear understanding what it is they are paying for. Too many companies are willing to trade their morals for money. That is something you will never get at Service Nerd, we sleep better at night knowing we do right by our clients.
Yesterday, Apple Inc. introduced their new editions to the Apple family. The presentation was given by none other than “Zen Master”, as Bono stated, and software creation genius, Tim Cook , along with many other executives from the Apple team. Apple will release two new iPhones. As predicted they will be available in two sizes; iPhone 6 in 4.7 inches and iPhone Plus in 5.5 inches. The iPhone 6 will start at $199 and be available September 19th. It will come with an all new design, in three different colors. The new phones come with a retina HD display, A8 processor, new barometer, installed with iOS 8 and more.
